or sell illegal drugs than whites, but they have higher rate of arrests.
African Americans comprise 14 percent of regular drug users but are 37
percent of those arrested for drug offences...
Blacks amount to 13.2% of the US population - however they make up 35% of jail inmates and 37% of prison inmates...
(Per capita - the UK incarcerates more black people than the US -
2% of the general population - 13.7% of the prison population)
